The International theatre festival of Turkic peoples "Nauruz" has been held in Kazan since 1998 and during this time it has become one of the most famous and authoritative reviews of national theaters in the world. Traditionally each festival is dedicated to one of the Turkic speaking Republics of the Russian Federation or CIS countries.
In 2021 the Festival will be dedicated to several republics of Russia, actively involved in the Turkic theatrical movement - the Republic of Altai, Republic of Tyva and Republic of Khakassia.
XV International Theatre Festival of Turkic peoples "Nauruz" will be held from 7 to 13 June 2021 in Kazan.
For participation in the Festival are considered performances, premieres of which were held during the last two theatrical seasons. All the performances announced for participation in the Festival should go in the languages of the Turkic language group.
To participate in the main program of the Festival it is necessary from December 15, 2020 to March 1, 2021 to fill out an application form on the official website of G.Kamal theatre (kamalteatr.ru/projects).
The participants of the Festival can be:
- professional state and independent drama theaters, and puppet theaters of Turkic republics and countries;
- groups performing performances of traditional and square theatrical forms of Turkic peoples (outdoor performances, including site specific genres, promenade).
